I have a timely lame to fame:

Exactly 25 years ago today I met Dame Vera Lynne.

I was playing as a guest of the Gurkha Band and another cavalry Band at the Tower of London. The Queen was there too (I stood 6ft behind her Maj during the fly past)

I met Vera when I put my empty shampoo on her table. She was lovely.
