Virus entry 13
A sad and frustrating development for my 4th year student at RWCMD. Usually a music degree ends with a final recital. A 50 minute public performance that is the high point of your studies. The mark of the whole degree is largely awarded on your success. News is that they have been shortened to 20-30 mins and too soon. It’s going to be a challenge and is a blow.
Again a demonstration of how total and universal are the changes. The knock on for a young musician will be managed but what of other students?Such as a medical student? With a programme of study that is stuffed with potentially lifesaving stuff? A bump or a rupture?
Grim figures keep rising. USA struggling.
Clap for NHS at 8 o’clock. It’s spine tingling. Everyone is doing it. I’ve steered away from the news and been busy doing things. Thinking about the war zone happening out there I can only imagine the horror.
There are deepening problems with testing. It seems like there are growing pressures for the NHS. 1 in 5 doctors are off self isolating due to not knowing if they have it. The problem with hearing about government mistakes is dangerous because we must have public consent for the situation. If people start breaking the rules then we are lost. The police have a very delicate balance to strike. Of course most people are fine. It’s just idiots we need to worry about. Again I’m grateful that we are on the doorstep of both open and wooded land where we can combine a walk with any hunting and gathering that needs doing.
