Virus entry 16

Even a day when I think I’ve had a day off feels like I’ve been very busy all day. The change has been so total that my brain hasn’t caught up yet. I’m now using zoom daily. Following my chat with Adam yesterday my whole approach to this has changed. I need to investigating how to be a remote musician. The future is uncertain but if we are going to make music together then now geography isn’t an issue. Remote is going to be in the mix. Debbie is already talking about turning the area where the garage is now into a studio. It’s very exciting. Which is all the weirder in contrast to what’s going on out there. Lovely chat with Burger and Lindy today. She has been appointed superintendent of the new Nightingale Hospital in Bristol - incorporated into the NHS too. She mentioned the lack of PPE and testing. Burger is making masks out of acetate and elastic - which we have for him. We are not prepared.

So much going on in everyone’s lives. It’s actually staggering just thinking about people. We are happy on our family home - there’s food and we all get on. We laugh a lot and share good chats. We are lucky.

The Queen made a broadcast today. It was reflective and calm. No mention of Boris or that lot. NHS. Heroic effort from them all.

But also positive stuff from Lindy. For example how, so long that you protect yourself then you will probably be ok. Hospital admissions seem to be grouping around teenagers who think they are bullet proof and have contracted the virus by not social distancing and people in their 50s. Same reason but because they are kit in the at risk group they are not as careful. Interesting stuff.

Oh. And Boris Johnson has been admitted to hospital because of having the virus. His story? Will it be Greek?

Mollie made some Aztec biscuits today. They were amazing. New skills being learnt all the time.
